According to Law Nr. 9.991, of July 24th, 2000, electric energy concessionaries must invest part of their Net Operating Revenue (NOR) in actions aimed at combating the waste of electric energy.

The PEE – Energy Efficiency Program aims to promote the efficient use of electricity in all sectors of the economy through projects that demonstrate the importance and economic viability of improving the energy performance of equipment, processes and final uses of energy.

The objective is to maximize the public benefits of the energy saved and the demand avoided, promoting the transformation of the energy efficiency market, stimulating the development of new technologies and the creation of habits and rational practices for the use of electric energy.
